Abstract

This research aims to get learning media of foklore text based on digital, based on the result of the research of, this research done in three steps, namely the first step analysis the second step product development and the third step development and product test, the resulut of material expert validation for assessment of appropriateness of content which has very well criteria. the assessment of language appropriateness has the very well criteria. the result of expert validation in media for the whole assessment of product or media has the very well criteria, the effectiveness of profuct is through the result of students learning appropriateness has the very well criteria

The Development of Teaching Materials Explanatory Text Based on Interactive Multimedia of Students Class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sunggal

Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials explanatory text based on multimedia interactive of students class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sunggal. The product of teaching materials produced is CD interactive. The method used in Research and Development (R&D) method with ADDIE development model. The trials carried out were expert trials or product validation by media and material experts, field practitioner trials conducted by Indonesian teachers, limited trials conducted on small groups as product users, field trials involving subjects 32 users of class XI MIA 1. The results of this study indicate that (1) the percentage of feasibility of teaching materials as much as 78,1% of appearance and 83,9% programming by media experts, 82,8% content and 83,9% by material experts in the category of very feasible, (2) 55,55% of teachers and students recognize interactive multimedia and 44,44% of teachers and students do not recognize interactive multimedia; 38,88% of teachers and students had used interactive multimedia in learning, 61,11 % of teachers and students had never used interactive multimedia in learning; 97,22% of teachers and students stated that interactive multimedia is needed in learning activities in the classroom and 0,027% of teachers stated that they did not need interactive multimedia, (3) the pretest of students when utilizing textbooks containing images in the book as their media reached 2350 with an average of 73,43% with sufficient criteria, the posttest results after using PowerPoint 2010 interactive multimedia based teaching materials obtained a value of 2725 with an average of 85,15%.

The Evaluation in Implementing the Curriculum of 2013 in Sport and Health Education Subject in State Junior High School in Percut Sei Tuan sub-district in academic year 2017/2018

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out 1) how it was implemented, 2) constraints, and 3) what are the steps in the constraints of implementing K13 in the Public Junior High School in Percut Sei Tuan District.
The study used a combination approach, carried out on 8 state junior high schools in the sub-district, with a sample of 15 PJOK teachers and 15 VII grade students. Data collection techniques were distributed questionnaires to teachers and students, interviews and documents were given to the heads of education, supervisors and 8 Principals of Public Junior High School, which took place from October 2017 to November 2018.
Research results 1) Implementation of K13 students obtained context 75.56%, input 76.67%, process 78% and product 72.5%. The teacher obtained a context of 80%, input 79.33%, process 75.33% and product 74.79%, overall results in students 75.87% (good category) and teachers 77.37% (good category). 2) On average 22.88% there are still obstacles; sarpras is not supportive, scientific learning is not appropriate, implementation of k13 has not changed significantly, lack of understanding of the use of e-report cards, learning media is less attractive and assessment applications are still lacking. 3) To overcome this, K13 socialization and training have been carried out thoroughly, K13 in-ment assistance, formation of KKG / MGMP by Principals and report assessment training. Conclusions in this study using CIPP evaluation as a whole 77.37% (good category), but still have to be given more rigorous training and supervision.

Abstract

The learning process and assessment instruments provided have not been oriented to developing high-level thinking skills in students. This study aims to describe the process of developing HOTS-based authentic exposition text assessment tools in class X of Bandar Bener Meriah 1 High School; describing how feasibility The tool for authenticating HOTS-based exposition text, and describing student learning outcomes using the HOTS-based authentic exposition text tool. This research refers to the development model of Borg & Gall. The results showed that: (1) the development of HOTS-based authentic exposition text assessment tools was based on research and preliminary information collection, planning, initial product development, design validation and evaluation, product revisions, assessment and language and student teacher suggestions, revisions, individual trials , revisions, small group trials, revisions, limited field trials, revisions to valid and feasible products; (2) the average percentage of all sub-components from the validation of design experts is 81% with the criteria of "very good". The average percentage of all indicators from the results of expert evaluation validation for the description form instrument was 95.7%, for the multiple choice instrument was 94%, and for the psychomotor instrument was 86.83%. All evaluations of evaluation experts are in the criteria of "very good". The results of teacher responses have a total percentage of an average of 88% with the criteria of "very good". The results of the response of students were declared feasible and fulfilled their needs with the overall criteria of "very good"; and (3) the effectiveness of the HOTS-based authentic exposition text assessment tool obtained an average of 81.2. It was concluded that the ability of students to experience a significant increase was high and reached of minimal completeness criteria as expected.

COMPUTER BASED EXAM DEVELOPMENT ON PJOK COURSE KNOWLEDGE ASPECT CURRICULUM 2013 AT SMA SWASTA SINAR HUSNI HELVETIA

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a computer-based exam on aspects of PJOK curriculum subjects 2013. This research was conducted at the Sinar Husni Helvetia Private High School by using the Research and Development (R&D) research method which consists of three steps, namely 1. Research and information collecting, 2. Planning, 3. Development of the preliminary from of product. Data collection techniques in this study using interview techniques. Based on the results of an interview with Mr. Wagimin Souldi, ST as a teacher in the field of Sports Physical Education and Health studies at Sinar Husni Helvetia Private High School, that Sinar Husni Helvetia Private Private High School is a school that has used the 2013 Curriculum. The manual begins with the teacher making the question scripts, then the questions are typed and reproduced in sheet form which has taken 2 days, then the exam results are manually checked until the teacher gets the test results taking a long time, for Class XI which consists of 4 classes with 36 students detailing each class, with a total of 144 students, takes up to 4 days to correct exam questions and marking. Events like this always result in errors and discrepancies in the results of work and require a relatively long time, so teachers feel the need for the latest findings in the form of computer-based exam applications to cover the obstacles that have been encountered by the teacher.

IMPROVING TEACHERS ABILITY IN ARRANGING CLASSROOM ACTION RESEARCH PROPOSAL THROUGH FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION ACADEMIC SUPERVISION TECHNIC

Abstract

This research is focused on the teachers ability in doing classroom action research because it would be affected the students achievement during teaching learning process. Thus, this research is aimed to find out the teachers ability in arranging classroom action research proposal through focus group discussion academic supervision technique. This study would be carried out by action research method which was conducted in senior high school. The subject of this research were 7 teachers who are teaching in MAN Karo. Meanwhile, the instrument were used in this research are assessment sheet and observation sheet through 3 steps, they are planning, implementation and follow up. The result of this research showed that the teachers ability in arranging classroom action research was improved from the first cycle to the second cycle. The teachers ability improved from 53,2 to 69,2. It means the teachers ability improved 14,2%. Thus, it could be concluded that the implementation of academic supervision technique can improve the teachers ability in doing classroom action research in MAN Karo.

Analysis of the Use of Media Technology on Soccer Shooting Skills Test Instruments

Abstract

The focus of this research is how the use of technology media to test instruments for soccer shooting skills. This study aims to find out how the work of utilizing technology media on test instruments for soccer shooting skills. This research uses Research and Development methods. The subjects in this study were 15 sports students from Universitas Negeri Medan (Unimed). For a small group trial consisting of 5 Unimed sports students and a large group trial consisting of 10 Unimed sports students. The technique used for data collection in this study is a questionnaire, interviews, documentation, and observation. Questionnaire is used to find out the opinions of respondents to the shooting skills test tool that uses technology media. Observation is used to see the needs needed in the field. Questionnaire is a data collection tool that contains a number of questions or statements that must be answered by the research subject. The data analysis technique used is data from questionnaire results which are classified into two groups of data, namely qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data is obtained through expert validation activities, responses and criticisms and suggestions. While quantitative data through field trials, were analyzed by descriptive quantitative analysis. To find out whether the use of technology media for the test instrument for soccer shooting skills is effective.

Abstract

The aim of the study were to determine the quality and feasibility of guide book on behavior insecta polinator tomato (Solanum lycopersicum). This book development was based the Thiagarajan. Developed guidebook are validated based on the three criteria namely material/content, instructional media design and layout design. The test subjects were validated entomology experts, learning, and layout and the response of the lecturers who were lecturers of the course. The results of product validation by material experts amounted to 84% (very good), the learning design expert was 84% (very good), expert layout was 86 % (very good) and the result of students assement showed that this guidebook was good which was value for individual assement is 86 %, 80% for small group assement, 82 % for limited group assement. Thus, it could be concluded that the textbook based on research development has been feasible and could be used as the source of obtaining other information instead of students guide book.

Development of Training Aids (Remote Control and Headset) for Tunanetra Sprint Atletes

Abstract

Almost all disability sports are carried out manually, so that every exercise issue, both in terms of equipment and exercise evaluation is done manually. What is now is the time to find a solution for every problem must be fast, careful, and precise. The problem that often occurs is the problem of special assistance for athletes or often called a guide for blind athletes. With almost the influence of the guide in the process of training and competition when the guide is in poor condition or is sick, it will greatly disrupt the training process. The obstacle faced when being a guide is communicating technical exercises with tools, kolaburasi and ekselarasi with athletes, and if there is a disruption in health or injury to the leg muscles will not allow accompanying athletes training. All problems faced step by step can be overcome, and all of them are done manually so that it takes a long time. But the problems that occur remain an obstacle so that it is not optimal when doing exercises (kolaboratation, ekselerasi, communication at the time of training in the form of movement codes and sounds). This technology is expected to act as a companion eye which can give a warning if something goes wrong in the safe position of the Blind. At first the position of the visually impaired athletes hand. With the use of remote control the athlete is free to do the exercises and techniques that have been mastered without worrying about the escort runner (guide). At first the blind athletes when doing running exercises athletes will hold the companion runners rope and when starting the movement, they must be able to collaborate movements, if not, the exercise will be hampered. When using a remote control, blind athletes freely carry out collaborative motion without thinking of the motion collaboration carried out by the companion runner. This is the case with movement acceleration, in athletes the accelerated sprint is a factor that must be considered. In training athletes blind Sprints are accompanied by escort runners, when running runners do acceleration movements and companion runners must be able to accelerate together, and in balance when the acceleration between athletes and companion runners fails, the training results are not maximal. With remote control, the blind sprint athlete performs acceleration according to his abilities without having to worry about escort runners.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a product of teaching material based on guided discovery learning methods that meet valid, effective and practical criteria. The teaching material developed that is: student book, lesson plan, and workksheet of student for improve the ability of mathematical problem solving on the topic of Systems of Linear Equation in Three Variables [SLETV] for the tenth grade of High School. The type of research used is development research using the development of dick and carey models. Where the stages of this study consist of 10 stages. Try out conducted at first tenth grade science and social study as much 26 people in SMA Palapa Binjai. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The validity of teaching material of according to the expert team is valid; (2) Teaching material meet the practical criterion, that is teaching material are implemented very well, students give a positive response to teaching material, and teachers respond well to teaching material; (3) Teaching material meet the effective criterion that is complete of klasikal reach 96.15%, the ability of the teacher to manage learning obtained an average of 4.24 good categories and the learning time is not much different from the usual learning time; and (4) There is an increase the ability af mathematical problem solving using teaching materials based on guided discovery learning that is equal to 13.07 points from trial I to trial II. In addition, for the four indicators the ability of problem solving also increased, which were 5.38 points, 13.06 points, 18.75 points, and 22.84 points.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a product of teaching material based on batak toba culture that meet valid, effective and pratical citeria. The teaching material developed that is: teacher book, student book, and workksheet of student for improve the ability of mathematical problem solving on the topic of Systems of Linear Equation in Three Variables and subjects of this study were students in the tenth grade of SMA Markus Medan, North Sumatera. The type of research used is development research using the development of dick and carey models. Where the stages of this study consist of 10 stages. The results of this study indicate that teaching materials based on batak toba culture developed meet valid criteria. Teaching materials developed also meet practical criteria based on expert opinion, responses of students and teachers who state teaching materials can be used easily. Teaching materials based on batak toba culture developed meet the effective criteria with the completeness of student learning outcomes classically in the trial-I, which is 30 students (85.00%) completed from 30 students, while in the trial-II, 30 people students (85.00%) completed from 30 students; (2) student activities in all aspects observed at the ideal time tolerance set, and the average value of the ability of teachers to manage learning in trial-I is 3.12 and in trial-II is 3.22 with good category; and (3) the positive response of students in trial-I was 91.15% and in trial-II reached 95.00% students responded positively to the components of teaching materials and learning activities. The mathematical problem solving abilities of students taught using teaching materials developed based on batak toba culture experienced an increase, namely in the first trial of 80.38% of students who completed, while in the second trial 76.22% of students completed with an increase of 4, 12%.

Abstract

This study is a developmental research of Chemistry Practicum Guidebook Integrated Problem Based Learning Model (PBL). This study aims to obtain (1) The feasibility of Chemistry Practicum Guidebook Class SMA/MA published by two different publishers, (2) the validity of Chemistry Practicum GuidebookIntegrated Problem Based Learning Model (PBL)which developed on Chemistry material Class XI in Odd semester, (3) the differences of increasing student learning outcomes using Chemistry Practicum Guidebook Integrated Problem Based Learning Model (PBL)with student learning outcome using practicum guidebook in school, (4) the differences in improving student learning outcomes in terms of science process skills, and (5) the interaction between the implementation of Chemistry Practicum Guidebook Integrated Problem Based Learning Model (PBL) and conventional chemistry practicum guidebook with the level of science process skills in affecting student learning. The population in this study were all students of class XI MAN 2 Deli Serdang. The sample selection in this study used purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study were students of class XI MIA 2 as an experimental class and XI MIA 1 as a control class. Validator of Chemistry Practicum Guidebook Integrated Problem Based Learning Model (PBL) that has been developed is two lecturers ofUnimed Postgraduate Chemistry Education and two teachers in MAN 2 Deli Serdang. The study results showed that: (1) the results of the chemistry practicum guiding validation obtained an average of 3.13 for publisher A and an average of 3.26 for publisher B; 2) the validation of chemistry practicum guidebook developed by integrating Problem Based Learning Model (PBL)obtained an average of 3.66 is very valid (very feasible) to be used; (3) the improvement of student learning outcome using Chemistry Practicum Guidebook Integrated Problem Based Learning Model (PBL)are different with student learning outcome using practicum guidebook in school with a significances level (sig.) <&#61537; (0,000 <0,05); (4) improvement of student learning outcomes is different in terms of science process skills with the level of sig. <&#61537; (0,000 <0,05); (5) there is no interaction between chemistry practicum guidebook integrated Problem Based Learning Model (PBL) and conventional chemistry practicum guidebook with the level of science process skills in improving student learning outcomes with the level of sig. > 0,05 (0,117 > 0,05).

ANALYSIS OF THE NEEDS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF PROBLEM BASED VIRTUAL LABORATORY IN BIOLOGICAL LESSONS OF FIRST GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of developing a virtual laboratory based on problem solving which will then be used as a platform for the development of virtual laboratories. The type of research that will be carried out is qualitative descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires to high school students majoring in science who had received ecosystem material on biology subjects and interviewed biology teachers. The acquisition of student and teacher answers is summed and averaged, converted into percentage forms and then analyzed and drawn conclusions. The results showed that 83% said that the biogeochemical cycle sub-material was difficult and very difficult to learn on ecosystem material, as much as 77% said that biology preferred practicum rather than just theory and as many as 43% of students said the time spent in practicum very limited in school. And as many as 88% of students agree if there is computer-based learning for laboratory experiments. For the analysis of the problems in the material obtained from the results of 100% questionnaire teacher respondents stated that the difficult thing to teach students is the sub-material biogeochemical cycle ecosystem and from the 6 teachers all expressed the need for media or teaching aids to help teachers in learning sub-material biogeochemical cycle, especially in practicum. From these results, the practicum is very necessary in learning biology, but the facilities and infrastructure are inadequate and the safety and time factors are also the main obstacles in practicing, so this requires a computer-based teaching aid to be developed in this case in the form of a virtual laboratory.

The Development of Virtual Laboratory-Based Learning Media of Biology on The Topic of Bacterial For High School Students

Abstract

This study aims to find out the level of advisability of Virtual Laboratory based learning Media of biology on the topic bacterial and to determine the effectiveness of the media developed on the student learning outcomes. This research method is R & D (Research and Development) which uses the Borg and Gall model. The results of percentage score in average from the material experts, media experts and instracsional expert ware 90,25% and it was categorized as extremely good, 89,66 % it was categorized as extremely good, 90,91 % it also was categorized as extremely good. The result of response estimation from three biology teachers received an average score of 4,39 and it was categorized as extremaly. The results of individual trials on the learning media developed are in good categorized an average score of 4,19. The results of small group trials on the learning media developed it was categorized good with an average value of 4,22 and subsequently the result trials of limited group to the learning media developed it was categorized as good with average value of 4,26. The sample consists of two classes, class X MIPA 3 amounts 26 students treated as the control group and class X MIPA 2 amounts 25 students treated as the experimental group as well. The average value of control class learning outcomes is = 80,38 and the average learning outcames of the experimental class is = 90,80. The results of hypothesis trial showed that ware significant differences between the control class and the experimental class with sig. (2 tailed) of ,000 < 0,05, that means students learning outcomes with virtual laboratory media are greater than the learning outcames using the pawor point media.

Rahimul Harahap, Development of Thematic Teaching Materials Based on Local Culture at the Fourth Grade of Primary Schools in North Padang Lawas District. Thesis. Medan: Postgraduate Program, Universitas Negeri Medan, 2019.
The purpose of this study was to develop thematic teaching materials based on local culture on theme 6 namely My Ideals of sub-themes 2, My Great Ideals. This type of research was development research (R & D). The research model used was the research design model for developing 4-D (Four D Models), consisted of four stages, namely the definition, design, develop and disseminate by Thiagarajan. The subjects of this study were the fourth grade students of SDN 103014 Batang Baruar Julu, SDN 101130 Purba Sinomba and SDN 100930 Sibatang Kayu totaling 72 students and objects of thematic research based on local culture. The instruments used were validation sheets, student responses, and learning outcomes tests. The results showed that: (1) the instructional materials developed were valid to use, (2) the instructional materials developed were considered to be effective in terms of classical student learning outcomes. It was suggested that local culture-based thematic teaching material was a tool to assist in the process of delivering learning, the existence of teachers was still very much needed as a facilitator and students remain actively involved in the learning process.

Abstract

The impact of globalization is multidimensional; the impact is also felt in the field of education, especially higher education that directly interacts with the international community. Specifically, globalization is driving the changing role of higher education institutions. Higher education institutions are challenged to change the curriculum in total. The integration curriculum is a blend of the current national curriculum in Indonesia (Kurikulum 2013) and foreign curriculum (some schools usually use CIE as awarding bodies from England). So far, the implementation of integration curriculum in national plus schools has been going well and has a positive impact for all parties, but it also has many shortcomings. The main problem is the unavailability of appropriate learning material for both of the curriculums. The research has the aim to investigate the learning needs of teachers and students by needs assessment. The research aspects were investigated and evaluated through a needs analysis conducted by doing interview, administering questionnaire and analyzing documents.

Abstract

This type of research is research and development (R & D). The purpose of this study is determine the level of feasibility of practical guidance semiriset based guided inquiry on BSNP for Senior High School. This research was a descriptive analysis study. The sample are 3 lecturer of chemistry and 20 teachers of chemistry. The instrument used BSNP questionnaire. The results of the study show that (1) aspect of feasibility the content in practical guidance semiriset based guided inquiry have an average of 4.61 and used school subject have an average of 3.14 (2) The aspect feasibility of language in practical guidance semiriset based guided inquiry have an average of 4.63 and used school subject average of 3.03 (3) The aspect feasibility of presentation in practical guidance semiriset based guided inquiry have an average of 4.63 and used school subject have an average of 3.21 (4) The aspect feasibility of graphing in practical guidance semiriset based guided inquiry have an average of 4.62 and used school subject have an average of 3.09. Based on the aspect of feasibility the content, language, presentation, and graphing in practical guidance semiriset based guided inquiry on BSNP for Senior High School and used school subject have an average of 4.62 (valid that meaning decent and does not need revision) and 3.12 (valid that meaning sufficient and does not need revision (sufficient).

The Development of Guidance and Integrated Science Practicum KIT Integrated Guided Inquiry Model bases Science Process Skills for Class VII Semester I

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an integrated Science Practicum handbook integrated guided inquiry models based on students science process skills by adjusting KIT to practicum activities in the development book. The sample in this research were 2 integrated science practicum guidebooks with different publishers for class VII SMP / MTS Semester I. The practicum guides that have been developed are validated by 2 expert lecturers of chemical and biology study programs in Postgraduate State University of Medan and 4 teachers in the field of Natural Sciences, and tested it to 2 classes. The sample selection uses a purposive sampling technique. The instruments in this study were: 1) the guide feasibility test sheet based on BSNP; 2) KIT feasibility test sheet based on the Ministry of Education and Culture 3) Student learning outcomes test; 4) observation sheet of students science process skills; 5) student response questionnaire. The research data were then analyzed using SPPS 20 for window through tests of normality, homogeneity, and t test. The results of this study indicate (1) the results of the analysis of the feasibility level of integrated science practicum guides used in schools from two different publishers have an average value of 2.85 with a feasible category, but there are several components of the guide that need to be developed. (2) the results of the developed Ministry of Education and Culture KIT questionnaire have a very feasible category, so it is feasible to use in integrated science learning (3) the results of students science process skills by getting a percentage of 82.1% with a good category. (4) Student cognitive learning outcomes show there are differences in student learning outcomes using the guide and KIT integrated science practicum integrated science model guided inquiry based on science process skills that is (tcount> ttable, 4.801> 1.672). (5) The students responses to the guide and KIT practicum developed showed a positive response 96.77% with a very good category.

Abstract

Practicum guides are one of the important teaching materials. The provision of appropriate practicum guides and in accordance with existing needs is needed, in order to support the learning process of students. This study aims to analyze biomolecular practicum guides used by students of the chemical education program at Unimed. The method in this research is descriptive analysis, using a practicum guidance analysis questionnaire given to three expert lecturers. The average analysis results obtained are 2.7; 2.65; 2.5. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that biomolecular practicum guides used by students of the chemical education program Unimed were still not in accordance with the KKN curriculum, for that in further research it was necessary to develop biiomolecular practicum guides that were in line with KKNI curriculum.

Abstract

This study was aimed at describing: affective assessment material in the textbook evaluation of chemistry learning outcomes in the UNIMED chemical education study program according to the national standards of higher education and curriculum KKNI. This study was contentanalysis using the qualitative approach. The data analysis techniques used consisted of unitizing, sampling, recording, inferring, and narrating. The results of this study are as follows. (1) Most of the integrated indicators in the textbook are appropriate, but there are still material incompatibilities with the learning outcomes listed in the RPS (2) The content of affective assessment unfulfilled most of the indicators, but it still needs to be equipped with the rubric to assist teachers in implementing the assessment. This assessment is to describe the ability of the students from the aspects of attitude, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

Research is research into the development of vocabulary assessment instruments. Development of vocabulary assessment instruments in the education field is very much needed. Because with the development of vocabulary assessment instruments in learning, will help the assessment process in learning in schools. Developing instruments must pay attention to the indicators that have been set. In developing an assessment instrument, each basic competency must be translated into indicators. The indicator can be further developed into a bill that can measure student performance. Language acquisition requires a lot of vocabulary and adequate forms of grammar. Vocabulary as one of the Indonesian language learning materials in schools occupies a very important role as the basis of student mastery of mastery in Indonesian language subject matter and mastery of other subjects. The development of information-based vocabulary assessment instruments is packaged in the form of assessment guidelines. Development of information-based vocabulary assessment instruments aimed at writing explanatory text material. Explanation text is a type of text that explains the logical relationship of several events. Explanation texts explain or explain the natural and social phenomena. The development of reading material is very necessary for seventh grade students to build and strengthen their interest in reading and understanding the meaning of reading material. The development of environmental love-themed reading material in the form of hand-out in the description text material is needed to facilitate learning in the classroom. Handouts are teaching materials that contain a summary of material from several sources that are relevant to basic competencies ". The teacher needs to develop reading material that supports the learning of the description text. The development of reading materials on the theme of environmental love in the description text material was chosen based on students awareness of the environment is still low.

Abstract

Development of teaching materials is done as an effort to improve learning outcomes and determine the material based on the context of the situation that exists in schools. Paradigms and perceptions that have occurred so far at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah PGA Univa Medan Project namely in developing a teaching material in the form of modules is still minimal, even if there is a form of teaching material used by teachers is still based on textbooks used by schools obtained from the government namely books from the Ministry of Education and Culture . The use of textbooks is one of the tools used by teachers or students as learning resources. Tracing the study of the development of teaching materials in the form of modules to be carried out, researchers conducted a preliminary study consisting of two steps, the first to conduct a field survey and the second to conduct a literature survey. The factor of student interest in learning is still low resulting in the majority of students experiencing difficulty in writing. Learning writing skills take a variety of forms. One of them is writing poetry. Expressing thoughts and feelings in free poetry. Poetry writing is a literary writing skill whose activities describe the contents of the soul, experience, and appreciation by using written language as a tool.

Interactive multimedia is a collection of several media such as text, images, audio, video, and animation that are interactive that are used to convey information. Multimedia is the use of several media to present information. This combination can contain text, graphics, animations, images, videos and sounds. Current technology, however, allows educators and students to integrate, combine and interact with media that goes far beyond what was before. Students understanding of a text in learning is very important in the learning outcomes that will be generated in the learning process. The relevance of reading the description text is closely related to local wisdom. The use of local wisdom themes in reading material means raising local values in students understanding. This local value will show the identity and identity of the Indonesian people. The development of interactive multimedia is focused on reading material based on local wisdom genres. research that will be conducted by researchers reading the genre of text based on local wisdom will be raised on instructional media in the form of interactive multimedia as an independent teaching medium for students so that the basis of local skills can be raised through teaching media and can be applied in learning activities both through interactive multimedia that is developed or by the teacher.

This research was conducted on students in Delitua 1 Public High School whose purpose was to find out: (1) the feasibility of mobile learning based learning media; (2) Comparison of Learning Outcomes Mastery of Student Concepts. The research subjects were students and biology teachers. At the initial stage, a needs analysis was conducted in which the subjects consisted of 3 biology teachers and 117 XI grade students of Delitua 1 High School. Small group trials included 9 students. The medium group trial includes 1 class totaling 36 students and a large group trial covering 2 XI IPA classes in Delitua 1 Public High School is 72 students. For the test phase of the effectiveness of the mobile learning excretion system, namely the eleventh grade students of Delitua 1 Senior High School include the XI IPA-1 and XI IPA-5 classes. This type of research is Research and Development research. The design of this study uses the development model of Borg and Gall. The instruments in this study were the results of teacher and student interviews, assessment questionnaires on mobile learning media and tests of students mastery of concepts in excretory system material. The results of this study found that: (1) the development of mobile learning-based learning media in excretory system material for students of class XI IPA 1 Delitua High School in this study were obtained with very good categories, on aspects: material (95.95%), media design learning (86.89%), and learning media technology (92.92%). So that the development of mobile learning-based learning media on excretory system material is very feasible to use for class XI students; (2) Learning outcomes of mastery of students concepts in excretory system material taught by using mobile learning-based learning media (80.00 ;3.87) (; SD) are higher than learning outcomes mastery of students concepts taught without mobile-based learning media learning (68.47 ; 5.92) (t count = 9,772; P = 0,000). The results of this research imply that learning media based on mobile learning have the effect of mastering concepts becoming better.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the eligibility of biomolecular e-module that have been developed with discovery learning models on carbohydrate material. The study was conducted at the Chemical Education Study Program, Department of Chemistry, Universitas Negeri Medan. This study uses the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation). E-module that have been developed are validated by 3 expert lecturers consisting of material expert lecturer, model expert lecturer and expert media lecturer. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire on Standar Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (SNPT) consisting of content, language, presentation and graphic eligibility. The questionnaire used was validated by an expert validator. The results showed that the biomolecular e-module that had been developed with the discovery learning model on carbohydrate material was valid for college students to use.

The aims of this study were to: (1) create a guidebook of insect diversity; (2) find out the results of the validation from learning material and design experts towards the guidebook of insect diversity in the tea plantation; and (3) find out the types of insects in the tea plantation. This study was conducted at PTPN IV Sidamanik Tea Plantation. The method of collecting data through direct measurements in the field was by collecting insects with fly nets, a guidebook developed based on the theory of 4-D Thiagarajan (Four-D Models). The instruments were in the form of learning material assessment sheets, guidebook design assessment sheets as well as the student perceptual assessment sheets of the guidebook of insect diversity. The results have obtained the 8 orders (Hymenoptera, Orthoptera, Neuroptera, Hemiptera, Diptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera) and 956 species. And on coffee plantations get 5 ordo (Hymenoptera, coleopteran, Diptera, orthoptera, hemiptera) and 339 spesies The trial of this guidebook product was assessed by a learning material expert, a learning media expert and five students who have taken courses in animal ecology. The results of the overall assessment of the guidebook showed the assessment from learning media experts produced a value of 81.0 with the criteria "very feasible" while the assessment from learning material experts produced a value of 82.6 with the criteria "very feasible" and the value from student responses produced 93.3 with criteria "very feasible " It was concluded that the guidebook of insect diversity at PTPN IV Sidamanik Tea Plantation was feasible to be used as a learning resource to help students recognize the types of insects that exist in tea plantations.

Abstract

The aim of this study is deals with the development of morphology acquisition among the children of 1.5 until 3.5 years old a.The objectives of the research were to find out morphemes are acquired by the children 1.5 until 3.5 years old.This research conducted by the qualitative research and the research design of this research is cross-sectional design.The data were obtained by the observation by recorded the utterances made by children in natural context.The data collected were analyzed by interactive models by Miles and Huberman and Saldana model.The subject of the research were 8 children of 1.5 until 3.5 years old and the research take 2 children from each age.The result of the research is the free morpheme has been produced in age 1.5 years old.Meanwhile there are different ability in acquiring bound morpheme.Firstly, child in age 1.5-2.0 has different ability in acquiring bound morphemes, secondly, child in age 2.1-2.5 has been able to produced suffixes and partikel, but there is different ability in acquiring prefix.Thirdly, child in age 2.6-3.0 has different ability in acquiring prefix and suffixes.And Fourthly, child in age 3.1-3.5 has been able to produced bound morphemes.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop an introducing book of insect pollinators in mangrove forest on the east coast of North Sumatera based on research results. This book was aimed to be used in Animal Ecology course for undergraduates students of Biology Education in State University of Medan. The book was developed according to Thiagarajan model consisted of 4 stages: Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate or better known as the 4-D model. However at this stage only up to development stage is reported. The introducing book draft was validated by one lecturer teaching Animal Ecology to check for the book quality content, one lecturer validated its instructional media and one lecturer validated for its suitabilty to be used as learning source. The validation results showed that the book content was scored 87.30%, which was considered very good,as a media the book was scored 86.33%,which means very good and as a learning source the book was scored 85.30%,which means very good, The introducing book draft was also read and scored by students and the result was 80.38% and was categorized as very good. The results from those validations will be used as a basis for revising the introducing book.
